This month is all about encouraging awareness and advocating for the rights of all children with ASD to be included as valued members of our community and to flourish in doing so. We feel privileged to have the opportunity to highlight the wonderful and inspirational contribution of one such special Timocco user, Gavin, who has used his creativity and enjoyment of our games to fuel his fantastic contribution to Timocco.
Gavin is 10 years old and attends Fredericktown Local Schools, he contacted us via his Occupational Therapist, Darci Untied, after he had planned an exciting new game suggestion for Timocco.
Gavin came up with the idea for “Helicopters VS Cars”, which would incorporate the use of body movements to move the car or helicopter and hand movements to determine their speed. Gavin has come up with a whole range of creative settings for this game to take place including “Volcano Valley”, with falling rocks and a “Giant’s House”, where you better watch out for the giant feet stomping through. With an array of dangers to avoid in these rough terrains, Gavin has also suggested a selection of protective a magical accessories for the player to select in order to protect themselves.
Well done Gavin, our entire team is super impressed by your original idea! We love that our games inspired you to set yourself new and exciting goals and ways to contribute! We are always looking to better our product for the benefit of our users and who better to help pave the way to the future of Timocco, than our superstar users themselves. We welcome all of our players and therapists to share your wonderful ideas with us, what a great way to encourage aspirations and dreams amongst such brilliant young minds!
We look forward to hearing from other bright, young stars!
