Ask Sarit: I work in a rehabilitation center and was wondering if I can use Timocco with my adult patients?

June 12, 2014 by Eran Arden Leave a Comment

The Timocco-Online platform is designed not only to assist children with developmental delays but for rehabilitation as well.

Currently Timocco is used in rehabilitation centers and nursing homes as a tool for building motor, cognitive and communication skills.

The skills that the system enhances are applicable to all ages since the gaming environment was designed specifically for therapeutic use. Nevertheless, you might consider some of the activities as not being age appropriate for adults because of the graphics.

Timocco includes several games designed which were designed for older children and could be more suitable for adults; games such as the Car game, Bull’s Eye and Space Game all have graphics which are more suitable for mature clients.

Our experience shows that the decision to use Timocco with adults depends on both the therapist and the client. For some of the clients, the therapist will find it inappropriate, while for another it can be the perfect tool for therapy. Trying it out would be the best way to find out!

Hope this helps,
